PU – polyurethanes
These are plastics which can have different properties depending on their composition. The composition gives an indication of wheel hardness. Hardness levels range from Shore A to Shore D. Shore A is usually used for plastic wheels. The lower the A number, the softer the wheels. We generally use the combination 78-A. This allows an optimum ratio between comfort and durability, because if the PU is too soft, the wheel wears too quickly. If the material is too hard, however, the ride experience is uncomfortable.
