Glossary

This is a composite made of plastic and glass fibres. Glass-fibre-reinforced plastic is also known as fibreglass. Glass fibre-reinforced plastics offer very high quality and excellent corrosion behaviour. Another advantageous feature of this material is its high elongation at fracture (also referred to as breaking strain). This means that the stress on the material must be very high before it will break.
